Menehune, Mo’o & Ali’i 5v5 Game
During the first few weeks of games, we expect there to be a bit of a learning curve. Many of our players have not played full ICE hockey. Please be patient. You may notice during the first few games that we blow the whistle to stop the play to teach. Many of our Menehune players will not fully understand the 5v5 player format, icing or offsides.
3v3 is a “skills” based game, played at a fast pace. In a 3-ON-3 game, kids get more opportunities to handle, shoot and pass the puck. 3-on-3 hockey improves overall skills development and game strategy by challenging players both offensively and defensively. All players develop with increased opportunities to handle the puck while getting more confidence.
